Ayamonte
Located on the banks of the Guadiana River, on the border with Portugal, Ayamonte has always been a quiet fishing village. It’s one of the most known towns in Huelva for its history, churches and temples, and beaches of Isla Canela and Punta del Moral.
In Ayamonte you can find the commercial area, also supermarkets, shopping centre and marina. In the centre there are shops, bars and restaurants.
We recommend a walk through the streets full of happiness, brightness and colour thanks to the flowerpots and vegetation in the gardens and terraces.
Another option would be to visit the churches of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias and San Francisco, both from the 16th century, and the parish church of Salvador, from the 15th century.
You can also take the ferry and visit the neighbouring towns of Vila Real de San Antonio and Castro Marim in Portugal.
